Watch a video walkthrough of this device here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WPj25yF32S The sequencer includes all of the features of the Metropolis, including all the direction modes (including the "fixed" modes, skips, slides, step division, ratchets, and more. These are the ways in which Autonomia differs from Metropolis: - Clock is based on Live's transport, BPM, and time signature - Accepts and produces MIDI (obviously) - Swing feature replaced with a "loose" feature that I think is more musically useful. Loose uses randomness to add a non-robotic feel to the sequence. - Velocity feature that allows the feature to vary the amplitude of the receiving synth - Aux modulation ports accept CCs, modulation destinations have been adapted from the Eurorack format to MIDI/M4L format - Note transpose parameter (Sending a MIDI note to the device will transpose the sequence, independently of this parameter) Notes: - For Slide to work correctly, you must use a synth that accepts high resolution pitch bend and send the Bend Range parameter on Autonomia to match the synth's pitch bend range. For best results, use the highest value allowed by the synth. |

| I have Live 11.2.10 Suite installed and Autonomia.amxd says it needs Max 8.5 minimum to run. I tried to install Max 8.5.3 from Cycling74.com to make Autonomia work. What should I do to make it work?? Would reinstalling live 11.2.10 Suite help? |
| @syn thanks for letting me know! I've uploaded a new version 0.1.1 that requires Max 8.3 or higher instead of 8.5. I believe that should work with Live 11.2.10. Please download the new version of the device and let me know if that works - thanks! |

| First, thank you so much for your amazing work on this wonderful device and for your generosity in sharing it with us. There are several things to fix... For example: in the chromatic scale, every B note in every octave is actually a Bb... ( Mac M1 Pro, Monterey, Ableton 11.2.10, Max 8.3.3 ) |
| Same problem for the Xpose parameter... every 1/2 tone before transposing one octave up is actually a whole tone. Thanks. |
| @babsynth thanks for reporting the issue. i did fix some transposition issues recently. could you download the latest version and let me know if you still see the issue? i?ll also test on my end |
| @ntrm Sorry for the delay...!! I tried the latest version 0.4 but the problem is still there. If we consider a C chromatic scale, in the Pitch knobs of the sequencer, every B in all octaves is actually a Bb. Same problem for transposition (Xpose)... when you transpose, for example, the C chromatic scale, every B is actually a Bb. |
| Updated version 4.0.1 fixes the issue described by @babasynth (thanks @babasynth!) fwiw it was simply a matter of replacing a loadbang with live.thisdevice! |
| great stuff also - i say this to almost everyone who creates one of these 185/metropolis sequencers - it is very helpful to have the total number of steps for the sequence length to be calculated and displayed on the panel - so you can easily create loops and not get confused why stuff is out of sync |
| also would be cool to have maybe a pro version or something where you add more of the hardware M185 stage gate mode styles to the device - like the dotted and etc |
| @hatyn great suggestions! funny, my friend has the M185 and I used it for the first time - those other gate modes are cool! what i was thinking about maybe trying is having a little euclidean pattern generator that is tied to the repeat mode. so for when the gate mode is REPEAT, there is a second slider/dial that sets the event density to generate the euclidean pattern. |

| This is such a beautiful device! All of the functions are laid out well on the Push. I'm quite sad to find that it's not working on my new Push 3 Standalone. Any insights as to why, or if the fix might be simple? I would so very much love to have this sequencer work in standalone mode. |
| @oddeo i don?t think max for live devices are supported on push standalone, for now at least. i could be wrong about that |

Most max devices work fine: https://help.ableton.com/hc/en-us/articles/8506527153308-Push-standalone-Max-for-Live-Device-Compatibility The other sequencers I use all work, but on one of them the parameters are not available in live.banks for control. For your device, however, all of the parameters are showing up just fine, which gives me hope, it?s just the sequencer clock that?s not running. I hope I can figure out how to get yours running, as it would be my primary work horse on the P3S. |
| That's a great device, thank you for your work. Is it possible to map sliders to the MIDI controller? It is possible to automate them, but they're not selectable as a MIDI controller in MIDI map mode. |
| Hi! Great device, but as above doesn't seem to work in standalone mode. Guessing it's based on an external that currently isn't supported, so might or might not be possible in future. Another small point, looks to me like D is unavailable as a root note in the device - the dropdown skips straight from C# to D# |
| as for standalone - yeah, I've heard that. I don't know why to be honest with you. There are no 3rd-party externals in the device. It may have something to do with the pictctrl-based UI objects or something else. |
| hey. really glad for this device. always comes up with new ideas with this one, but I wish there was a independent knob in the Push menu/control area where you could control the stages knob/or box. everything else seems to be there to fully have control over Autonomia. can wait till see what else you cook up of devices. much love |
