Description: | This M4L sequencer for Ableton is based around 4 versatile LFOs that generate a fixed sequence of pitch, velocity and note length data. Combining and randomizing the LFOs can quickly generate a wide variety of complex sequences. Each LFO has 4 waveshapes, phase, frequency and depth control. Each LFO can each be assigned to pitch, velocity or note length, and can be deactivated if not required. To the right of the LFOs are 3 dials that control the overall amount of variation to pitch, velocity and note length. Under the piano roll each step can be optional deactivated. To the right there is a clock value, a swing setting, a sequence length of up to 64 steps, and an initial step value. The sequence can be optionally transposed by incoming note values. Lastly there are randomise buttons on each LFO and a randomise all button. If you don't like chromatic scales you can add a scale device for a more melodic sequence. |

interesting sequencer. any thoughts on more waveforms for the LFOs? random? random glide? it would be interesting to influence the gate on/off somehow w/the lfos as well.

Theres always more that could be added! But often its better to make a different device . You can, however, turn steps off with the LFO if the velocity of a step is calculated as zero - try using a square wave at maximum amplitude assigned to velocity.

Hello, great device. however, could you add an lfo that controls the gate? So we can generate random patterns? Please :)
And let us set max and min values for the lfos?

You can use one or more LFOs to control velocity. When velocity adds to zero or below a note will be gated irrespective of the yellow gates on the bottom row. Adding 2 square waves assigned to velocity will make interesting rhythms with accented notes.
Not sure how max/min would work but I could add offset to the LFOs if I have time.
