Device Overview

Name/Version: Collab Sequencer 1.0
Author: offthesky
Description: an 8 lane sequencer with note ranges per lane. draw in notes on the left, and only notes within ranges of each lane fire out of those lanes. set the note out per lane, with probability per lane. this is already setup to just work with the collab drum's note in assignments.

there's a create random pattern button(little white circle), or an auto random pattern button which creates a new random pattern at the end of each cycle. up to 32 steps. you can choose between free run (my personal fav, since im more of a fan of non-grid music). the sync to live's transport is a bit hetchy in that it can get out of sync when you change presets. a work around ive found is to create a midi clip and automate the switching of presets. that can keep this in time (until i can figure out how to keep this thing in better sync).

this sequencer is a heavily modd'd version of the UKEM sequencer by glia from the first collab drums project c74 did: https://cycling74.com/articles/collaborative-drum-kit-in-max

im relying the m4l's hinting system to explain the behaviors of all the elements within this strange sequencer. but of course feel free to ask questions in the comments below.

here's my quick and dirty port of the pinball sequencer. there's a lot more work to do! but you can at least play with it:

Love this concept. Reminds me of a vid that Ned Rush did on trying to re-create the Autechre sound a while back. I can see this being usable for sure

Would be interested in your version of the 'no.pinball' sequencer, though I do have his own version now (having subscribed to his Patreon).

Would definitely be interested in your version of the no.pinball

@all, left a link to the quick and dirty m4l port of the pinball sequencer at the bottom of the description section
