Overview

Name | Version: FDN 1.0
Author: OspreyInstruments
Device Type: Audio Effect
Description: This is a versatile FDN inspired by Geraint Luff's talk and blogpost.

The reverb is comprised of a serial diffuser network feeding into a feedback delay network. Both are 8 channels and support random modulation. The 5-stage diffuser supports separate modulation rates and depths for each stage. The early reflections are 20 channels taken from pick-off points before and throughout the diffuser network.

Non-linearities can be introduces by using the bitcrusher or by driving saturation functions within the diffuser. This reverb exposes a lot of parameters which makes it extremely flexible, but not as quick to dial in a sound. Many combinations may be too wild for practical or realistic usage, but there are many sweet spots. This approach does allow a deeper understanding of what is happening under the hood. I am still figuring out what delay line ranges are best for what application, so perhaps I will make a more tuned reverb in the future.

The range sliders can be controlled by holding modifier keys (shift, command/control, option/alt) while click-dragging the slider.

This looks amazing! Heads-up, I think you linked to the wrong spot (the download link takes us to the blog instead of your page).
