| Description: | *chill is a spectral sound processing audio effect which freezes small chunks of an audio signal at a chosen time. The incoming audio signal can be recorded (i.e. frozen) at four different points. The frozen and constant held parts can be provided with different gain and panning levels as well as being modulated indivually by amplitude and pitch modulation. Additional spectral gates can be applied to each recording buffer before the freezing process. The process of spectral analysis and synthesis is realized by a Fast- Fourier-Transform (FFT) algorithm also using some Jitter objects for processing and as storage. | The initial idea of this device is to use it as an real time audio effect, so everything can to be recorded an exchanged at four different stages from a running audio file or using the bridge to also record material from midi instrument tracks directly. But it shouldn't be to complicated to follow your idea ? I'll definitely think about it. Meanwhile you might want to have a look at another device of mine named *freeze, with which you can preload (drag+drop) audiofiles into buffer for further processing getting quite similar results to the device above: https://maxforlive.com/library/device/6592/freeze |
