Device Overview

Name/Version: Survey 0.2.4
Author: pATCHES
Description: Survey allows you to have any 16 parameters in your Live set mapped and modulated within seconds. In terms of speed and efficiency, it’s a multi-mapping dream-world and performance modulation paradise. Equally adept at both randomized scrambling and careful preset management, this device is sure to lend a number of extra hands in your sound design process.

---

Ready, set, map.
One of Survey’s standout features is an innovative mapping system designed to remove as much tedium from the setup process as possible. With Auto mapping, just focus on what parameters you want to take control of — Survey will figure out how to accommodate them.

---

Performance Modulator
Survey acts as a kind of macro control for your project’s most important parameters. Save collections of settings across multiple devices and tracks for simple recall or to creatively morph between them.

Use the built-in sequencer to move between stages in step with Live’s clock. Stage selection is also mappable, so you can move between banks of parameter values however you choose. Survey multiplies the control power of your favorite MIDI dial, expression pedal, or Max for Live device.

---

Fine-tuned output
One way to ensure successful modulation is to simply disallow values that don’t work with a certain control. Min/max mode lets you quickly scale the range of each parameter mapped to Survey.

---

Survey is designed to help you work with modulation more quickly and more creatively. To learn more about the device, check out the user manual or drop me a line at contact@patches.zone.

hi. this device causes a strange problem for me under Live 11.

each time a set is closed and then re-opened, Survey resets to its inital values of 6 Channels and 4 Stages, thus removing all my previously mapped information for channels 7+ ...

please, pATCHEs - if you are here - check if you can fix this problem for this otherwise supercool tool!

I think, I fixed the problem myself by checking/unchecking a few boxes in the MAX editor of the corresponding elements (stages and channels...) LOL. Not sure exactly how but now it stays as it should...

Good device!

Might still be worth looking into, if you get back someday, others may run into same problem.

This device is important for me I think as an alternative to other tools that have a similar function that I have.
