Overview

Name | Version: Sh-equencer 1.2
Author: redhexagonal
Device Type: MIDI Effect
Description: SH-equencer is a step sequencer based on the Roland SH-101 sequencer. Press "Record" and the device records the notes you play into it, including legato notes. Use the "Rest" button to leave a step empty. "Clear" deletes all steps. Press "Play" to leave record mode and play the sequence. The sequence is then triggered and transposed by notes coming into the device, which makes it easy to generate complex evolving sequences if you wish. The sequence can be played forwards , backwards or in palindrome (forward then backwards) mode. Click 101 to choose your favourite colour!
The sequence is saved with the device so it will load with your live set.

This is great! Exactly what I was looking for for a looooong time. Would it be possible to have a polyphonic version as well like the nature of the jx3p?
Works like a charm! Agree with the comment below, a polyphonic version that lets you input chords would be awesome!!!
Hi there, is it possible to save the patterns inside the device / live set? Thank you
Yes, the sequence is saved with the device preset so it will load with your live set
Thanks for the info
Awesome device, using it to sequence my Behringer MS-1. Was curious on how to program legato notes into this? I can’t seem to figure it out. Any help would be super appreciated!
You just play them in as legato notes
I made a polyphonic sequencer along similar lines here https://maxforlive.com/library/device/6442/y-chord-sequencer
Hi so when you are recording notes into the sequencer you hold one note then play the next note while the last one is held?
Nevermind, got it all figured out! Works great for sequencing my MS-1 in a 101 style, the built in sequencer in that synth is a pain to use so this certainly adds that old school vibe. Thank you!
Hi! Has anyone noticed that when recording a “large” pattern of notes, ie 7-8 notes, and play them there are a missing note in the resulting sequence? Thanks!!

Regards,
J
Not sure why that would happen. Email me at yhedral@gmail.com and I’ll see if I can help
Hi redhexagonal, I’ve been doing tests and it seems a problem with cpu spikes on my computer, not a problem with your device. If I press the cpu meter in live to disable and re-enable, the device works as expected and there are no missing notes. Thanks!
