Overview

Name | Version: seasick 1.2
Author: offthesky
Device Type: Audio Effect
Description: an aggressive, swarthy random vibrato. or a nasty drug addled chorus. you decide. also has a 'foam adder' section. this device is great for that 'you are seriously abusing your poor tape player' effect.

contains a few presets but you can add your own (shift click creates a preset in an empty slot. shift+alt removes a preset) - these will save within your .als project file.

this device pairs well with:

https://maxforlive.com/library/device/9165/cracklebuddy

v1.1 - added a 'no fun ui' variation (where all the ui animations are disabled) for those who may be experiencing issues with the regular version.

v1.2 - fixing ui: swapping seaheight and seasmooth number boxes.

hey! very cool device. sounds great and i love the UI. thank you very much for this!
This is awesome! I've created a OFFTHESKY folder to keep these separate.
really liking this along with Crackle Buddy - I've found myself using them quite a lot. Just a quick heads-up, it looks like the tool tips for "sea smooth' and "sea height" are flip-flopped (if you hover over smooth, you get the tool tip for height and vice-versa). Thanks for sharing these great tools w/ us!
actually... after downloading the no fun ui version and playing around some more, I don't think it's the tool tips that are flip-flopped (see above comment) - I think it's actually that the fields themselves are mislabeled. When I adjust "smooth" it gets scratchier, the higher I set it. When I adjust "height", I think it's smoothing. I could be crazy but pretty sure the labels just need to be swapped between these two.
those two are flipped intentionally to add to the "you are drunk on a squidding boat at high tide" effect ;]
jk, will get those fixed w the next update. ty for the feedback @freddyfingz!
LMAO! Just saw the comment re: the drunken squid boat. I'm actually reading Moby Dick right now - perfect!
