Description: Variation Stepper is a device for MIDI mapping and sequencing up to 16 rack variations in Ableton Live 11. Inspired by how we use Malekko Heavy Industries' - Voltage Block in our modular rigs and by Krazy Baldhead's awesome Smooth Automator device.

Features include:

16 MIDI Assignable Variation Triggers

16 Step Variation Sequencer with randomisation options, pattern rotation, selectable timing resolutions and global controls

16 slots to store variation sequencer patterns

Flexible pattern sequencer for chaining and repeating patterns in any order

Just place Variation Stepper to the left of any rack to jump between up to 16 variations in ordered or chaotic sequences.

Updated to version 1.1:

• Automatically populate linked device racks with up to 16 randomly generated macro variations.

• New Macro Randomisation and sequencing options.

...also, little suggestion possibility for down the road: would be super cool to be able to trigger the rack's "Rand" button somehow via the stepper...

@offthesky thanks for the feedback, glad you're enjoying it. We've been busy this week adding some more features and you might want to check out version 1.1.

Great device idea! It seems the 'randomise variation' button doesn't work? I assume it's meant to assign random variation choices to each step. 'Randomise step on/off' works fine.

My bad - I overlooked the 'random range' dials.
