Device Overview

Name/Version: freeze 1.1
Author: TilmanEhrhorn
Description: *freeze is a sound processing audio instrument which freezes audio input signal. The processed audio sample will be looped and can be played polyphonically and pitch- and velocity sensitive like a standard sampler instrument.

The incoming audio signal, played back in real time, can be processed (i.e. frozen) on demand. It is possible to exchange the buffer content each time while generating new material or to overdub existing material to be mixed with the continuously incoming audio signal.

Alternatively an audio file can be loaded into the buffer in full length to be processed at one go. The frozen and constant held parts can be provided with different gain levels.

An additional spectral filter gate can be applied to the recording buffer before the freezing process.

Hi, looks really great the device but can?t really get it to work. No audio arrives via the fxbridge. Also the acutal freeze button doesn?t seem to work when loading a preexisting audioclip.
Any idea why?
I?m on mac.
Tim

Sorry to hear that. Which OS do you use? Up to High Sierra everything should work fine on a Mac. Did you check the video how to use the FX bridge? (Since the setting needs some extra fiddling ?). If you open the patch the external object, named 'vb.freezer~' has to show up, otherwise there should be some notification in the Max window.

Just a heads up for anyone that might be interested; this device doesn't work on Apple Silicon computers, due to an external dependency not being compatible.
