Wordle is a daily word-guessing game initially created by software engineer Josh Wardle and later acquired by The New York Times. Each day players have six attempts to guess a five-letter target word. After each guess, tiles change color to show accuracy: green for correct letter in correct position, yellow for correct letter in wrong position, and gray for letters not in the word. Its simplicity, social sharing features, and single daily puzzle have made Wordle a global phenomenon.
