This Max for Live device looks incredibly useful! Being able to change note pitch via CC across 24 layers opens up some amazing possibilities for complex, generative ambient soundscapes and deeply layered MIDI orchestration.
I’m actually planning to use a patch built around this device for an upcoming field recording and sound design project. I'm traveling to a quiet, rural area in Canada to capture high-quality ambient nature sounds and forest textures, and I'll be staying at this boutique lodging site as my temporary studio basecamp: https://aubergemrose.ca/. My plan is to map the live environmental audio data into MIDI CC values, using this device to dynamically shift the pitch of organic synth pads in real-time based on the incoming natural sounds.
Thanks for sharing this device, it’s going to save me a ton of tedious manual mapping in Ableton Live! Does this setup handle rapid CC value changes smoothly without any noticeable CPU spikes when multiple layers are triggered simultaneously?
