| Description: | RESONANCY is a fancy resonance filter instrument. Although this is a MIDI-Instrument, it does not produce any sound by itself. It is rather an audio effect, that is playable via MIDI (-Keyboard) and therefore needs an external sound source. This means you have to select a another track in the input section of this device (top left) and have that other track make some sound! With this device it is possible to controll the pitch of a resonance filter via MIDI-Keyboard. In harmonic mode it is possible to play harmonics when pressing two or more keys. The highest key will specify the harmonic on the basis of the lowest key. The chosen harmonic will be closest to this key regardlessly of its actual register. Each octave is so to say divided in steps from 16th to 32nd harmonic. To be able to play all of these harmonics on a usual keyboard two keys have to be pressed surrounding the 11th, 13th, 29th and 31st harmonics. (see: "split-notes_key-combo") It is of course possible to play even higher harmonics, but with gaps in the scale. Using the transposing key combos harmonics up to the 32nd can be played in a small range of 2 octaves (see: "transpose_key-combo") The random option plays random harmonics in a specified range on the lowest key pressed, changing with each note change. ------------------------------------------------ To get more info about any parameter activat the "Info View" in Ableton Live and hover over it.
