Description: | This is my first M4L device ever. I wanted a simple tool with some coloring, a really steep bandpass filter and a limiter to throw on busses and stuff. "Color" is just some gain compensated overdrive and filtering. "Filter" consists of a pretty steep high pass filter, and a really steep low pass filter. The limiter is the omx.peaklim~ so I haven't done much with that. You can toggle between its "Punchy" and "Smooth" settings. With the "Out" dial, you can lower the final level by about a dB or two in case you need to convert to a lossy format to minimize possible distortion. The GUI was thrown together pretty quick and not the best, my only requirement being BIG KNOBS and a learning experience. |

Wow! I was curious about this channelstrip, because I love the "first attempts" especially on audio effects. Don't take it as an offense (everyopne of you first attempters), but there's usually something weird in the behaviour of the patches that makes them unique and really full of digitarian character. And this is no exception! I've found it great on drum kicks and basses, it really gives them punch and shape. Awesome work!
