Description: | Zpwned is a simple MIDI utility for creating virtual keyboard zones. Use it to chop your keyboard up into different sections for different instruments. You can also set an octave shift for the zone and set whether Pitch Bend, Mod Wheel, Sustain and Expression messages are allowed through to the instrument. I created this because I got really frustrated with the menu/tiny screen/multiple buttons/impenetrable manual that I'd have to deal with to do this with my MIDI controller hardware! This device is designed for a 61-note keyboard but by changing the parameters for the Range From, Range To and Keyboard Slider objects you could easily adapt this to any size of keyboard. The really neat thing about this is that, because all of the controls are parameters in Ableton Live, you can change the size and function of your keyboard zones on-the-fly using automation in your Live set! Enjoy, and please give me feedback to improve my programming skills! |

Hello, can't you do that with the chain selector of a rack, and so creating a splitted keyboard exactly has you want ?

Yes - but the change octaves/ranges etc all at once requires multiple MIDI utilities - Chain selector, Octave, etc. This looks like an easy (easier?) way to create complex zone setups.... gonna check it out
