A dedicated modulation envelope drives a secondary resonant filter, allowing for dynamic tonal shaping that responds to each note. Combined with frequency modulation (FM) and adjustable modulation depth, Filament can move from clean, articulate plucks to rich, evolving harmonic textures. The latest update introduces an integrated stereo enhancement section featuring both chorus and stereo detuning. The chorus adds subtle movement and depth, while the stereo detuner creates gentle pitch differences between the left and right channels to produce a wider, more immersive sound capable of making binaural beats. Together, they bring additional warmth, spatial character, and animation without overpowering the core Karplus–Strong synthesis engine. Each processing stage includes its own wet/dry control, allowing precise blending between the raw Karplus–Strong signal and the processed output.
