Overview

Name | Version: Device Lister 1.7.7
Author: Rivanni
Device Type: Audio Effect
Description: This device lists all plugins, including native and Max for Live devices, for each track in the current Live set, regardless of how deeply nested the racks and devices are.
The indentation now represents the nesting level of racks and devices.
The list also provides data on each device's type, state, and latency.

Changes 2026-02-05:
- A list can be created with a single click, rather than the previous two steps.
- CC Control was never included in the list because Max does not return data for this device. A workaround was added to include this device. Limitations: The device state is always listed as 'On'. Custom device names are ignored.
- Better precision for lower latency numbers, like 0.063.
- Indication if a track is frozen and/or muted.

Changes 2026-02-28:
Added:
- The list ends with a line that shows the date and time (in standard ISO format) when it was created.
Fixed:
- Small latency values were sometimes still rounded to one decimal place.
- When Save to file was selected, it sometimes asked twice to save the file.

The device can be used in Live 11 and 12, with the following exceptions:
In versions earlier than 11.3, the set name and file path are not included.
In versions earlier than 11.2, the latency cannot be reported.

An older version of the device is demonstrated in a video by Sonic Bloom.

PRETTY COOL IDEA and to include latency too. In addition to diagnosing lag issues, this could help with collaboration and showing others what tools they need to open your project.

Possible to show total latency time per track?
Hey Torley, sorry for the late reply. I missed the notification.
Total latency per track is not reported within Max. It's also hard to calculate, because racks don't report their latency in Max either.
I'll add your request to the list.
