EXT3 is a complex step sequencer modulator and powerful envelopes generator. It’s designed to modulate anything you want in Ableton Live: any parameter in other devices, in Live’s UI, and in any third party plug-in. EXT is very easy to use: just click the “select” toggle, then click the parameter in your Ableton Live set to apply the modulation.

EXT3 offers rich time control, and an envelopes section where you can shape each step differently. This gives you access to infinite sequences creation!

Thanks to features like complex time resolution, time variation, and swing, you read your sequence in so many different ways! Ext3 can swing too: increase the amount, and let your modulation get groovy!

Needs some randomness? Just enable drunkwalk function to pick steps randomly, introducing on the fly a momentary random variation, keeping the original sequence stored.

To perfectly fit to any target, you can refine modulation scaling outcoming values to a specific range, and applying interpolation time between steps for a smoothy control.

The big news in version 3 are step editing and CV: you can change any step from a flat value to an envelope thanks to shape functions, and setting independent length for any step. Enabling CV, EXT sends a modulation signal on left channel, and gate messages on the right one. This lets you control outboard equipment as Eurorack modular systems (DC coupled audio interface or D/A converter is required).

All these features make of EXT3 a terrific and unique modulator :)

EXT3 is the best tool to fast create automated patterns, and to modulate a parameter in unexpected ways!
