Description: | The Bumpy Step Sequencer x8: https://www.reclaimedbcn.com/apseq Take It Further * Full drum machine experience * Instance management system to control 8 APseq devices independently * Improved timing mechanism keeps all instances synd'd * Visual feedback so you know which instance you are controlling * Further optimised code TLDR * LED Feedback for APC Mini mk2 * Conditional Triggers * Polyrhythms * Sync'd Clock Divider * Fill Circuit * Probability Triggers 01. Get More From Your 16 Steps The best grooves are seemingly simple yet deceptively complex. That's what APseq does best. Effortlessly add accents and ghost notes to patterns with dedicated buttons for the 4 velocity levels. Use trig conditions, probability, ratchets, polyrthyms & variations to take it further. 02. Built To Be Played Live Many features enable you to add chaos and complexity with ease. Bring the pattern back home whenever you like, synd'd to the next transport pulse for maximum effect. Retrigger the sequencer manually like Jeff Mills or use the probability faders as DJ style mutes. 03. Forget The Computer Screen LEDs that show you everything you need to know. Skip the guesswork and see settings without looking at the computer. Different display modes are triggered when you change parameters that need to be visualised. * Clock Divider Display * All multiples of straight, triplet & dotted rhythms (32nds, 16th, 8ths etc) * Get wonky * Trig Condition Display * Visualise the per-step fractions and see which steps have conditions set * Add variety * Number Readouts * For accuracy on key parameters like Swing, Last Step and Ratchet Count * Be precise APseq x8. Bumpy Grooves. Unpredictable Moves. 04. Humanise It All Add chaos and complexity with ease. Sprinkle subtle variations with the probability features and keep everybody guessing when you punch in the random fill generators. Tweak it to your taste. * Probability gives you control over the chance each velocity level has of playing. Make accented notes play 100% of the time whilst ghost notes only play 9% of the time and ratchets 57% of the time. * Fills keep it fresh with 2 separate random fill generator circuits that can either run alongside your existing groove or take the full limelight. You choose. Want to exclude accented velocities or ratchets from the fills? That's up to you too. * Variation is what makes a groove sound human. Choose how much human or machine you want in our cyborg APseq. Control velocity variations for each accent level and ratchets independently. 05. Get Ideas Down Fast APseq is built for speed. Get the benefits of traditional X0X style sequencing, paired with modern technology upgrades. Direct access to 4 velocity levels and ratchets with a single button press will have you pumping out groovy rhythms in no time. Summary * LED Feedback for APC Mini mk2 * LEDs on the APC Mini Mk2 guide you so you never have to look at the screen. Enjoy the hardware experience with the freedom & flexibility of software. * Conditional Triggers * Add cyclic variation with ease. Hold a step and select which cycle you want the trigger to fire on and how many counts until the cycle resets. * Polyrhythms * 16 steps are infinitely more fun when you can scale and wrap them as you please. It's time to get wonky. * Sync'd Clock Divider * Quantised switches for all triplet, dotted and straight time divisions. Switch time division on beat every time. Want to leave your kicks running on straight 16ths and change your hi-hats to 32nd triplets at the next bar? No problem. * Fill Circuit * Sometimes you need to switch it up to keep it fresh. Enter the fill circuit. Fresh timing variations every time. Select from 2 random circuits and choose whether fills should include ratchets or accented notes. * Probability Triggers * Individually control the probability of each of the 4 velocity levels. Maybe those ghost notes should only trigger 50% of the time? Nah, 23% is more like it. Requirements * Ableton Live Suite or Ableton Live and Max 8 * APC Mini mk2 * USB A MIDI cable Don't have an APC Mini mk2? No stress, the device has full functionality without it and all controls are MIDI mappable.
