Name/Version: | Goniometer 1.0.0 | ![]() |
Author: | Funkatronics | |
Description: | A simple goniometer and phase correlation meter. I was surprised that I could not find a proper phase scope made with Max For Live, so I made my own. The patch shows a plot of the incoming audio's stereo field and maps the polar angle of the vector between the mid and side channels to a smoothed -1,1 slider (i.e. a true phase correlation meter) Changelog 1.0.0 - 2018-04-03 Added Initial Release The above format is based on Keep a Changelog (http://keepachangelog.com/en/1.0.0/) and this project adheres to Semantic Versioning (http://semver.org/spec/v2.0.0.html). |

@ascoltatore, that was not intentional, but yes my screenshot looks a lot like that album cover. The Goniometer draws what are known as Lissajous curves: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lissajous_curve. You can make some really cool shapes and animations by applying different sine waves to the left and right channels. Maybe I'll make a a video synth in the future that works on this principal. Thanks for downloading and for your comment! |
