Device Overview

Name/Version: DarkMixer 1.1
Author: IleDeDanse
Description: The DarkMixer is a Max4Live device.
It has float function, so you can use it to control the LIVE-mixer in arrangement-view on a secondary screen.

I have built this device because I needed a mixer with many channels on small place.
I was inspired by thomsonaudio http://www.maxforlive.com/library/index.php?by=author&q=Thomsonaudio and synnak http://www.maxforlive.com/library/index.php?by=author&q=synnack
It was my first M4L device and I think I have learned something about M4L API and subpatching;)

New main feature:

Device control for all channels.

Just click under the volume meter to select device
and turn it on/off with the button right besides.

Some minor changes are done for better experience like
some cleaning up the design and stabilize the app.

Features:

- 32 channels
- 6 returns
- MASTER control
- Device control (on/off)
- channel names will be the same as in LIVE-mixer
- mute, solo, pan, volume and send ammount on every channel
- cue control on MASTER
- bidirectional communication between DarkMixer and Ableton mixer
- optimized for a screen-resolution of 1440*900pxl
- low cpu consumption (~2% on my old C2Duo)

Free demo download on my blog.

have you seen Kevin Kripper's Ultimate Mixer?

http://www.maxforlive.com/library/device/1626/ultimate-mixer

Tsss yours is free man!

i can not pay 9$ for a m4l mixer plugin...

Seriously? 9$ is nothing for something so well developed.

Nice mixer - however I have noticed that it is disabling automation curves in some channels....any idea why that would be?

Seriously. I dont say it isnt well developed.. but it is.... a mixer for live. i mean people have max to do things themselves.

No offence meant, it is a great device. Just thought I'd mention something I noticed today, that's all! Been trying to figure it out, but can't decipher the patching - yet. Best wishes.

Are these always the same channels or is it randomly changing?

Always seemed to be the same channel/track - at the bottom of the arrange window. Then it appeared to be happen to other channels. Have just been trying to reproduce it (after a few days break) - and now it seems fine again. Maybe it was something in my setup. Thanks.
