This device will scan through a folder (including sub-folders) and give you a collection of samples. Roll the dice and it will automatically load a sample directly in to a Simpler device. You can filter your sample collection with a keyword. If you click the folder icon, it will filter the collection down to just the other samples that are in the current samples sub-folder. I've included history arrows, which let you scroll backwards or forwards through your randomly selected samples. You can also grab the file icon and drop the sample anywhere else in Ableton. The device will automatically rescan this path/folder on when reloading a set. If you do not want this behaviour, you can clear the scanned collection prior to saving the Live set which will clear the path/folder. JB Random Simpler 1.02 Update Device will now remember and correctly apply your keyword filter when re-scanning a folder or re-loading a set. Buttons are now midi mappable (but no more fun spinny dice unfortunately!). |

Hello! It does not, but I’ll see
If this is feasible. The Simpler will remember your sample, but this device will currently lose its collection when you reload the set.

Hi there, the device will now remember the last loaded path/folder. The device will automatically rescan this path/folder on when reloading a set.
If you do not want this behaviour, you can clear the scanned collection prior to saving the Live set which will clear the path/folder.
