Device Overview

Name/Version: Playdate 1.0
Author: CompanionMaker
Description: Playdate gives you four 1-Octave keyboards with pitch/modwheel control using a launchpad and your mouse. Those keyboards can be routed, individually or combined, to any Midi track in Live.

Each of the four keyboards can be fine-tuned regarding transposition, velocity and mouse control. When mouse control is turned on, your mouse cursor acts like a pitch/modwheel combination like the one you're used to touching with your left hand.

This device is built on the concept of organs, where you have multiple keyboards with multiple outputs all controlled by one player.

If you want to play many synthesizers at once, rehearse with a singer or just can't get rid of your tonal thinking for some other reason, playdate will help you.

Edit: It seems that there are some problems, which is why I checked the "Work in Progress"-Box.
For now, this device may or may not work on your computer. Due to a serious lack of time, it may take a few weeks until I can update it. Sorry.

Note to programmers: This device is based on what I learned from my first journey into programming ( Companion is a mess programming-wise, and I'm frankly ashamed of its code. Playdate is written in a style I think would fit Companion 1.5, so if you have any recommendations for further improvement, please let me know.
This is also the reason why Companion is not CC-licensed; I'd hate to see something like that going open source for no apparent reason.
