| Description: | POLYGUN is a 4-channel parametric complex rhythm sequencer that can be used to create typical poly rhythms as well as poly meters and more complex rhythmic patterns combining the two.Some of POLYGUN's special features (Ratchet, Ignore, Gate Length) can make your rhythms even more vivid. POLYGUN's principle for generating complex rhythms is very simple: combining several clocks with different ratios. There are three built-in modulatable clock sources, each corresponding to a Key Track channel (CH1-CH3), so that you can, for example, use different clocks to trigger different drum or different pitches of a melodic instrument. CH4 is more complex, as it allows you to mix the three clock sources on the velocity layer and trigger a separate pitch step sequencer, or output notes based on the MIDI pitch input to the device. You can use POLYGUN for: Basic polyrhythm drum loop; Insane percussions groove; Simple melodic with complex rhythm; Clocks for other devices such as Drifted Circle (controlled random pitch generator); Clocks for modular synths via MIDI to CV; Other experimental things. I bought this when it came out and I still use it all the time. Its so freaking good for wild complex beats! Hope the dev will expand this awesome device and add more channels :-O
