Description:	This is an encoder the the Expert Sleepers ESX-8CV device using a gen~ native encoder. This device uses the left input of each stereo pair as input. ESX-8CV port 1 = 3/4 ESX-8CV port 2 = 5/6 ESX-8CV port 3 = 7/8 ESX-8CV port 4 = 9/10 ESX-8CV port 5 = 11/12 ESX-8CV port 6 = 13/14 ESX-8CV port 7 = 15/16 ESX-8CV port 8 = 17/18 This config allows you to use whatever port you want on the Ableton CV Tools devices. I recommend that you drop this on an empty audio track, rename the track to ESX-8CV. Set 'Audio From' to "No input' and set 'Audio To' to 'Sends Only. On the Max for Live device choose your ES-5 device from the top drop down and the port on the device from the second drop down. The 'Audio To' button can be used to mute the audio going to your ES-5 device. Note, channel 1 and 2 are not used by the device and by default the signal is passed thru without any modification. If you don't want to forward the signal you can turn of 'Thru'. Please check my ES-5 and ESX-8GT devices
