Name/Version: Sample Player 1.0
Author: franciscopiano
Description: Did this for my band. I needed to play a custom sound everytime the drummer hit a drum. A piezo mic will carry the signal to Ableton.

The device doesn't let the original sound trough, and you have a treshold (-70 to 6) from which the sound will play everytime. I used this with an envelope follower mapped to the audio track volume as you can see on the image so the sound is not always at the same level! Use the IN Monitor setting.

Hope it works for you too!

Is this similar to the plugin "Texture", if so this is something i've been needing for ages!!! Much appreciated, and any future updates that would contain an envelope follower integrated and maybe some resampling options?

Thanks for your comment, don't know that plugin but I hope this works for you. This was just a quick solution to my needs. Maybe you can add an enveloper, group it with the sample player and save it as a preset so you have the chain everytime you need it.

I could make for you a version of a sample player that connects with ableton sampler (like work for hire), is always better to use what is already made on the DAW that re-creating. Only my suggestion, thanks again!

I was looking for a device that overlayed a sample on top of an audio track like this one but this one seems to only do that when the button is pressed and that button is not mappable to anything sadly and doesn't play when u hit play when the input signal is played either. If it did those things would be a crazy helpful device cause I haven't seen anything like that out there so far and kind of can't believe no one's done it yet or maybe I haven't looked enough.
