the only thing I'm noticing is that when recording clips, and wanting to undo the whole recording like a normal CTRL+Z would do (even when you didn't stop recording the clip), the behaviour is not as expected...

First off, thanks so much for this. Sadly, it doesn't seem to work for me. The mapping window does not catch my pedal when in focus.

Sorry to hear you're having trouble mapping.
I created the custom integrated mapping mode because using the standard Live mapping mode creates extra undo/redo actions for merely pressing the buttons on the device itself.
Therefore, you need to insert the device on a blank MIDI track and make sure your controller is sending its midi signals to the track. So be sure you have selected your controllers' midi port on the Input/From list on that track and monitor is set to 'In' (or at least Arm is enabled). Also, you must have that midi port tracking turned on in Preferences.
