Description: | Easiest way to select patterns on Elektron devices. I got tired of the pattern changes not happening before clip launch, causing the clip to be a bar behind ableton. I have only been able to test on my digitakt but should work on all of their devices. How to use: Place device on a seperate midi track from the overbridge plugin Send M4L device midi track to overbridge track on midi channel sixteen (not the overbridge plugin itself, but the midi track the plugin is on) Use envelopes to automate the pattern selection per clip. Set each clips quantization to "none" so the program change message is sent when you launch the clip or scene. |

Thank you for taking the time and effort to make this! For me it is still delaying the first pattern, therefore changing clips a bar late. Is there a workaround for this?
Thanks again!

Its how the digitakt works. When you send it a message to change pattern, it does so on the next chance to change the pattern, which if its not playing already, it will send the message on the down beat, which means it will trigger the pattern change on the NEXT down beat. So you have to send the message before you want it to happen. When the tracks quantization is set to "none" it means it sends the program change message right when you press the button, which is usually a little early, rather than right when the pattern would change (the downbeat of 1, or whatever you set the quantization to). You might be able to work around it by muting your digitakt, triggering a scene or clip with the pattern change message, then the next scene unmute your digitakt. Kinda a pain, but its a thought.
