Device Overview

Name/Version: Flex 0.2.18
Author: Llamatron
Description: Flex is something between an envelope generator and a LFO.

Main features are:
- Curve edition with bezier points, basic copy/paste and undo/redo
- Can sync to Live's clock
- Random curve generation and on the fly random modulations
- Easy to store and recall presets
- Scope for visual feedback of the output
- Control signal "waveshaping"
- In device help and tooltips

Note that it is a Max audio device but doesn't produce or alter any audio, it is just a convenient way to be able to put the device on any track.

Warning: The sa.function external this patch uses to draw the curves doesn't have 64 bits versions, so it won't work in 64 bits versions of Live. It works for 32 bits versions on a 64 bits OS though.

This is early version, still considered as beta so there might be bugs, please send me any bug report at the email specified in the device's help page. Features suggestions are welcome too.

Changelog:

0.2.18: Fixed an issue with min/max values of parameters.

0.2.17: First public release.

seems to crash Live 9.0.5/Max 9.1.3 on OS X 10.8.3

Can you describe when and how it crashes please? Couldn't test it on Mac myself.

After checking a bit around it seems the sa.function external this patch is built from doesn't have a 64 bits versions, so it won't work on 64 bits versions of Live (just tried with the PC version).

Updating the description to reflect that.

I'm having a problem where the "Beats" setting always resets to 1 when I reload the Live set - so I have to go through and set it to what I actually want wherever I use Flex.
