| Description: | Having a good and musical sounding transient shaper directly available inside of Live is one of the things that has been missing for me for quite some time - so I created this one as solution for my productions. Most importantly for me are great sounding Attack and Sustain controls that work on any material you throw at them, but I also included some additional goodies as well that are unique to this device. Plus, it's lightweight on CPU so can be included anywhere. Here is an Overview of the Transient Shaper and all it’s functionalities: Attack This sets the amount of time taken to apply gain to the initial transients of the signal. Increasing this value will enhance the attack phase making the transients more pronounced. Sustain This adjusts the amount of gain applied to the tail end of the signal. Increasing this value will extend the sustain phase, making the tail of the sound more prominent. Ceiling Mode The Ceiling Mode control has three settings: off, clip, and limit. With ‘off,’ the sound passes through without any changes. The ‘clip’ setting cuts off the peaks of the signal at 0dB, while ‘limit’ gently reduces the signal’s maximum level to 0dB to prevent distortion. Diff This toggles the Diff setting, with Diff active only the difference between the unprocessed and processed signal will be heard. This can be used to make only the transient parts of the sound audible or achieve creative dynamic movements. Push The Push function controls the amount of signal fed into the processing, which emphasizes the transients. By increasing the Push value, you enhance the sharpness and clarity of attacks. This adjustment allows for more aggressive or subtle shaping of the transient envelope. Out The output gain control adjusts the volume of the audio signal leaving the device, allowing you to increase or decrease the loudness to match equipment levels or prevent distortion.
