gd-grantastic is a Max For Live device that I originally created in the Max/MSP Pluggo environment in 2003 & updated for M4L in 2024. This is yet another flavor of granular synthesis! (can’t really ever have enough). Auto sequence automatically applies the granular effect through the entire buffer. Speed is how fast it scans through the buffer. Duration is how big the grain slices are. Window is the shape of the grain window / slice, there are some fun & unique options in here. Pitch randomization & quantization will make each grain a random pitch. When set to manual, it will randomly pick one slice of the buffer and freeze it there until the next step. |
