----------------

What Is Duck Buddy?
This maxforlive device triggers a custom gain reduction shape when it detects a MIDI note from the selected source. Drop a Duck Buddy on your bassline and select your Drum Rack as the MIDI source. Select the Kick drum cell as your channel. Perfect sidechain!

Forget using compressors and other tools like LFOtool and Gatekeeper. This is the ultimate way to sidechain. With lookahead and the ramp/smooth settings you can achieve a clickless sidechain with ease!

For a while, during development, this plugin was called "Duck Boy" but I quickly decided to rename it to "Duck Buddy". The music industry is already so male dominated, so I didn't want to give the plugin a male gender, potentially further alienating the women producers out there. It's a small thing but I think subtle things like this push women away from music production and careers within the music industry. And I think we should be doing everything we can to create a comfortable atmosphere for those women looking to get involved in the music industry. This ain't no boys club.

Great tool, but how do you delete points? Also, the waveform viewer is slow as hell.

Amazing tool! There's this bug I've been experiencing though where the Depth will go to 0 db and Length will go to 1/64 for ALL of my Duck Buddy devices. This happens randomly--haven't been able to identify a way to recreate the bug. Other than that, works perfectly!

@Golitan11 You delete a point by SHIFT clicking it.

Hello, I love this device!

I have noticed one error though:

Editing the curve from the 'Waveform Viewer' dialog works great.

But if you edit the curve without opening that dialog (just from the device) you don't hear a difference until mouse up, which makes it really hard to get the right curve :(

Hey, great device! Except when I reload a project, it seems to lose all the input assignments. Is this a known issue? Any workarounds?

Why can't I put on the ableton version 11.3.3 writes that this version is not supported, What to do?
