Device Overview

Name/Version: chainActivatorMidi 1.0
Author: morganjenks
Description: Quick Guide:

---place immediately to the left of target rack

---create chains with selector index the same as chain index

---click the refresh button on chainActivator to scan the rack's devices (each time you add or delete devices/chains)

---name the clips on the rack's track with a space separated number at the end to activate a particular chain upon clip launch

Triggers automatic activation/deactivation of devices within instrument/midi racks. This allows for a single track to host multiple detailed instruments on rack chains with much less processor overhead, and also for slightly quicker setup of chain switching (you don't have to edit the clip automation for the chain selector)

To use the device, it must be directly to the left of it's target rack. Set up the chains in the rack to have the same chain selector index as their chain index (first chain is active on index 0, next on index 1, and so on), and then click the big refresh button on the chainActivator device any time you add/delete effects and chains within the rack.

A space separated number at the end of the clip name tells the chainActivator to switch to that chain, activate its devices, and deactivate all of the other chains' devices.

i i am revisited you patch chainActivatorMidi

thank good job

Hi there!
I'd like to know if it would be possible that I create another mode where the m4l device autodetects the number of plugins, then update the chain automatically (one more plugin = one more chain) and then handle automatic activation/desactivation when a chain is selected (instrument is activated on the selected chain).
Thanks for help

sorry I didn't realized this was already implemented...

Umm...this is amazing. Thank you.
