Device Overview

Name/Version: Wavetable Sound Effects mr 0.05
Author: synthesizerwriter
Description: Not a standard synthesizer, this SOUND GENERATOR uses wavetables to make sound effects, and does not respond to MIDI note inputs. You may want to add a bit of spatialisation with echo or reverb.

To use it, select a wavetable, experiment with the Frequency and Shift controls, then the Range. Once you have a basic sound, then try the LFOs to modulate various aspects of the sound. The LFOs have their own FM section (the smaller controls) so they are much more versatile than they appear. All the LFO modulation uses sine waves in this version, but the wavetable scanning is now switchable between sine and linear, forwards and reverse...

You can now drag and drop .WAV files into the waveform display. These should have a maximum length of 2 seconds... The wavetable will appear as 'Table W' and is not saved in the effect in this version.

(Previous posts with M4L that contain lots of associated files (like Waverne) have proved problematic for some people, so if you don't get any sound, then let me know...)

Hi, your device looks really great but i can't drag and drop a wav (that's what we're supposed to do, right ?)

Sorry - there are 10 wavetables included, but there is no option to drag and drop a wav file.

Hmm - this has set me thinking, and I will see if I can add this functionality...

Okay, I've now added simple 'drag and drop' functionality as 'Table W', plus a few other enhancements. Thanks for the suggestion - it is now much more like a warped version of Simpler...
