Device Overview
Name/Version: | Microtuner X 1.1 | ![]() |
Author: | PHY6 | |
Description: | This device tunes your vsti/au's or Ableton instruments to different tuning. All the instrument needs to get it working, is a pitchbend control and a set range for the pitchbend. Set the PB range in your synth to match the range in the device and you're set ! So if you want to tune your instruments to 432hz, set the PB range to match that of your synth. And in the box below, the cents (float), enter -31,766. Now the instrument is set to 432hz. Taking into account even temperament... if A=432 Hz, C= 256.8687368406 Hz then the cents adjustment -31.7666536334 is the same straight across the board... ...so why is my Tension still out-of-tune with my Bass & Guitar? Hmmm... Thanks for your work on this, BTW :) |
Hello! The plugin seems to not be working for me. Is there a latest version that I am missing or a bug fix? Thanks, Jonathan |
Is there any Microtuner which can retune individual Keys ? http://www.midi.org/techspecs/midituning.php Do VST Instruments support this specs ? ? |

440hz-432Hz = -31.766... cents
but
middle C (at a=440) = 261.63 Hz
middle C (at a=432) = 256Hz
a difference of -37.661 cents
The cents detune amount is different FOR EVERY SINGLE NOTE.
So yes, this device is out of tune when playing chords or with other instruments tuned to A=432
