Drywall is a form of wall structure that makes use of small sheets of gypsum (a kind of mineral) as its primary construction material. Gypsum boards are coated with a mixture of solvents and water. This permits it to be cut easily, drilled and sanded. The drywall panels are then put together using special fasteners which allow them to be attached to the wall studs or Joists without screws or nails.
