Device Overview
Name/Version: | Pedal To Note Length 1.0 | |
Author: | jobr | |
Description: | This device helps you apply automation of the sustain pedal (CC64) to the actual length of your MIDI notes, like you would expect a sustain pedal to take effect. This is very useful if you want to edit what you played on a keyboard. I have not yet found a way to make this work just dropping it in front of your instrument. But this workaround is still very quick and easy: 1. set up an empty midi track and place this device on it 2. set up a second MIDI track with the first channel as input 3. place your Instrument on the second track 4. arm *both* tracks (by holding ctrl/cmd while clicking) 5. press record You can then either record something new or let a previously recorded MIDI clip play out on the first midi track. Either way, the sustain pedal data will be recorded as note length on the second track. |
