It can be used directly inside Ableton Live, with an Ableton Push controller, or fully integrated with Push 3 Standalone for a focused hardware performance workflow. Although optimized for Push 3, the M4L device can be used directly in an Ableton Live set and can be fully mapped to any compatible third party midi device. Rather than automating individual parameters or triggering clips in isolation, PushScenes allows performers to capture and transition between global performance snapshots or Snaps These Snaps can store combinations of device parameter settings, clip launch states, drum mute states, Track and chain mixer levels, sends and pans. Once captured, they can be recalled instantly or blended together smoothly in real time. This makes it possible to jump between sections, reshape textures, morph harmonic ideas, or build evolving arrangements without stopping playback. Instead of locking you into fixed playback structures, PushScenes opens the door to structured improvisation and expressive live performance. Designed for hands-on Push performance PushScenes transforms the Push 3 experience by taking over the pad matrix to present a custom performance interface, while using Push 3’s XYZ layout to provide an intuitive spatial way to morph between scenes. Transitions can be shaped physically using the XY pad or paired with an external MIDI slide or ribbon controller for even more fluid performance gestures. Quantised transition timing ensures changes can lock tightly to the beat whenever needed, allowing expressive control without sacrificing rhythmic precision. A built-in visual metronome provides clear timing feedback during transitions. With full Push 3 Standalone integration, PushScenes is designed to feel native to the hardware workflow: store a Snap, launch a variation, trigger a transition, morph between ideas and discover new directions without breaking creative momentum.
