The step sliders can be dragged vertically and horizontally to create complex sequences using broad, long scope gestures. - Note/Grid Modes Switch between note and grid modes to affect individual notes or clusters of notes grouped by Live’s grid intervals. Use this to control the way each slider maps to your MIDI notes. - Custom Note Groups Set the number of contiguous notes that each slider will affect. Use this to set custom slider to note mappings. - Scale Inversions Transpose upper intervals an octave down and lower intervals an octave up. Use this to make scale inversions. - Positive/Negative Modes Switch between positive and negative polarity of scale intervals using the base note as the tonal axis. Use this to switch between positive and negative harmony. - Constrained Mode Turn on interval constraint to lock the tool to a set of intervals and their octaves. Use this to restrict transformations to the pitch classes of your custom scale. - Reverse Turn on reverse mode to reverse the sliders sequence. Use this to reverse the pitch of your MIDI sequences across selections. - Automatic Scale Awareness Get automatic scale awareness by just turning on Scale mode in Live. Use this to make melodies conform to Live’s scale and root. - UI Controls Make fast variations with randomization and global shifting. Use this to try out new scale variations.
